April 12, 2015 – We all decided to wake up early for the island tour we booked for the day.

Sleeping in a tent by the beach is mighty convenient since we could just swim whenever we could. There are also beach resorts and small stores near the beach so we could have breakfast anywhere. Naturally, we opt for cheaper alternatives so I had a hot chocolate drink, scrambled egg, and pancit canton for only Php 50. While eating, Judith asked us to contribute Php 50 each for the fish they’ll be buying at the public market. We plan on grilling the fish so we could have lunch while island hopping.

We paid Php 100 each (there’s 14 of us) for the boat ride to and from the islands. Boat rides essentially cost Php 1000+. We had it cheap cause there’s a lot of us and we could share the expenses. We also paid Php 50 for snorkeling gear but it would be much cheaper to just bring your own. Riz asked for swimming fins and the rent costs Php 50.

The trip to the virgin island takes around an hour and a half. We swam around at the island across it for a while in order to check out the corals.

 The view is absolutely beautiful.

After swimming around, we went straight to Virgin Island. We were informed that the entrance to the island cost Php 125 each and though we were hesitant, the view was enough to change our minds.

Naturally, we couldn’t say no to the beach.

By 2 pm, we went back to Sta. Fe, Bantayan to catch the Barge to Hagnaya port. The tricycle ride cost Php 20 while the barge cost Php 170 each plus Php 10 terminal fee. Upon arriving at Hagnaya, we rode a bus back to Cebu for Php 160.

Bantayan is definitely still beautiful the second time around. I worried that the experience would be a simple repeat of our last trip there, but it still managed to surprise us. It was beautiful and amazing and I look forward to visiting it again.
