After the really exciting swim with the whale sharks, we were all excited to go to the next stop of our trip: Sumilon Island!
The divers and boat riders who guided us during the whale shark diving took us back to MB’s resort. There we took a shower and prepped for our trip to the island. This time, we opted to bring our bags since we’ll need our supplies at the island.
Part of the Php 1500 package to Sumilon is the boat ride to and from the island. Naturally, since there are only four of us, we only had to pay Php 325. This was included in the total of Php 1025 that we each paid at the counter of MB’s Resort.
My first thought at our arrival was: It’s cold! Sumilon is the coolest beach I have ever been to! The winds are really strong and the waves are almost big enough to go surfing. It was probably because of the weather. It’s not as hot as we hoped and it was more cloudy than sunny. Fortunately, that changed after a few minutes.
Cloudy or sunny, we had a lot of fun taking photos at the island.
We even camped out and looked for areas where we could just chill on our own. It felt like an episode of Survivor.
Naturally, it was a whole lot of fun. I’d daresay it’s the best Php 325 I’ve ever spent!
